Senior Claims Handler

I’ve been here 22 years. I started as a Claims Handler and then I moved to Fraud, where I help train the team. I’m known as ‘The Fraud Queen’! I’ve stayed here because I love the variety and the work still interests me – I’m never bored. What’s more, I work in a strong team in a good department for a great employer. The pension scheme is one of the best and the sports facilities are fabulous. I love the flexible working too; when I ran the London Marathon I came in early so that I could take a two-hour ‘lunch break’ and train. A typical day involves finding the evidence to back up a claim. Every claim is different and I am constantly surprised. When it comes to fraud, all walks of life are involved. The biggest challenge of my role is trying to obtain evidence of fraud. Fraudsters are quite clever – the challenge is to be one step ahead! I would and have recommended someone to work here - my brother in law’s girlfriend now works in property claims thanks to me!
