Krishan Patel
Management Accountant
I’ve been here 18 months and I’m studying for my Chartered Accountancy. Before this I completed my degree in Accountancy and Economics and did a few temp jobs. I heard about the job through an agency, who recommended it to me. It ticked all the boxes! A typical day involves producing monthly management accounts, forecasts and budget reports. When I’m not working I’m using the on-site gym and playing football at lunch, which I do three times a week. I play tennis as well. It’s good as it breaks up the day and I’m interacting with a great bunch of people who I have a lot in common with. On the work side of things, it’s very interesting seeing how the theory I learnt at university compares to the reality of work. Especially when there are deadlines involved! In fact, being able to manage your time well is a huge bonus. If you can do that, I’d definitely recommend it. After all, the work is interesting and there are great facilities, benefits and training.
