I wanted to join Endsleigh as it is a successful and growing business in my local area, that has a special interest in the student niche. I had just graduated from university, so Endsleigh presented itself as the ideal starting point for my career.
What makes you happiest in your job?
This sounds very cliché, but it is definitely the people I work with; fun and easy going, while remaining dedicated and professional. This is particularly evident during the tough moments, when everybody pulls together to get the job done.
What makes someone successful at Endsleigh?
Endsleigh offers a lot of opportunities for those that are willing to take them, but it is down to the individual to step up to the mark. Being adaptable and proactive is crucial, as well as being willing to make decisions and take accountability for them.
Most importantly, always remember that everybody has something to teach you.
How have Endsleigh made you an expert?
I have been given the opportunity to work on a couple of large projects, which has allowed me not only to learn my own role, but also how it fits within the rest of the company.
This has greatly increased my knowledge of both our systems and processes. I am now able to conduct a level of analysis that would have otherwise taken me many years to have gained.
How does your role make a difference at Endsleigh?
My role is essentially to construct and maintain insurance products; both for our internal and external customers. I work within IT and am responsible for developing all pricing and underwriting changes required by the Business.
This role facilitates the plans of our Financial and Marketing departments and allows Endsleigh to remain the top Student insurer by staying ahead in the marketplace.
What would you tell a candidate to make them consider joining Endsleigh?
The site is beautiful and has great facilities, contributing to a vibrant professional and social community. Endsleigh is always evolving and growing as a business and as such is an exciting and fast-paced environment to work in.
The company is willing to invest in every person, so long as you are willing to match that investment.
