Jenny - Senior Team Manager, Sales

  • What made you want to join Endsleigh?
  • Honestly – I’d just graduated from Uni and needed a job!
  • What makes you happiest in your job?
  • The people I work with – I honestly can’t remember the last day I came to work and didn’t laugh. The atmosphere is great, it’s a fun place to work but we always make sure the job gets done.
  • What makes someone successful at Endsleigh?
  • Not being afraid to want to be the best – having ambition but being prepared to put the work in to get where you want to go. It is definitely a meritocracy – if you’re the best man for the job, you’ll get the job!

You also need to be approachable, friendly and willing to help others out – we work a lot across departments so being able to build relationships at work is key.

I work in sales so a competitive spirit, determination and enthusiasm are also a must.
  • How have Endsleigh made you an expert?
  • By investing in me - I’ve been really lucky to have taken part in a few company development programmes over the last 12 years. I’ve participated in countless workshops, training sessions, personality profiling and coaching sessions which have all really helped me get to where I am today. I’ve also had the support of some great coaches and leaders over the years that have supported and guided me along the way.

I’ve also been able to draw on the expertise of others across the business to help me increase my skills and knowledge.
  • How does your role make a difference at Endsleigh?
  • As a Senior Team Manager I am responsible for the New Business Team – this means it’s my job to make sure that customers get the service they expect when they call up for a quote, that the people who work with me are experts in their area, get the support and career development they are looking for, and ultimately that I hit target – making a difference to Endsleigh’s income and profit on a daily basis.
  • What would you tell a candidate to make them consider joining Endsleigh?
  • If you’re going to spend 37.5 hours a week somewhere you might as well enjoy it. I’ve been here 12 years and have honestly enjoyed every minute.

It’s a fantastic company – pay, reward and prospects are good, though all businesses will tell you that. What other businesses can’t promise you is a fun, fast-paced and friendly working environment, and a social life to match.
